    As you settle into your confirmed seating at each rooftop bar, you will enjoy a tour cocktail or mocktail served up just for the tour, hear intriguing Asheville history from your guide, discover some local insider tips, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for picture-taking, conversation, and fun. All rooftop bars have full food menus. We’re your designated driver.

    Sunset and City Lights Tour

    BEGINS NOVEMBER 3!
    Elevate your evening in Asheville with this guided three rooftop bar tour experience.

    You will watch as the sun sinks below the horizon of our majestic Blue Ridge Mountains as the twinkle from the city lights begin, all from the best rooftop bars across Asheville!

    At all three stops, you will enjoy an included seasonal sample cocktail or mocktail served up for the tour, and you will have plenty of time to order an additional round of drinks and try the bars’ fantastic food!

    Our tours highlight the history of each area with intriguing stories and old photos envisioning how our city came to be, plus provide plenty of opportunities for picture-taking, conversation, and fun.

  • Art Museum Tour

    High Art: A Rooftop Rendezvous with the Asheville Art Museum

    NEW TOUR! Embark on a one of a kind journey that blends art, local history, hand-crafted drinks, and rooftop views. The tour, led by an expert, local retired arts educator, kicks off with enjoying a tour cocktail or mocktail and views at the Asheville Art Museum's rooftop cafe and a behind-the-scenes tour of the 1925 Historic Pack Memorial Library wing, not normally open to the public.

    The tour includes two additional stops with drinks at rooftop bars supporting local art in Asheville. During the three-hour experience, the educator guide will provide a deep dive into the arts, culture, and architecture of Asheville from the best views in the city. At the completion of the tour, enjoy free evening admission to the galleries of the Asheville Art Museum.

    Three tour cocktails or mocktails and transportation are included. The guide will serve as your personal photographer while on the tour.

    We can host groups of up to 20, and if you are staying near downtown, we may be able to pick you up from your hotel! We work with you to customize your experience on the tour for any occasion!

Your adventure with Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours will take you across the city: from a local favorite venue along our original Main St. to a sleek and modern rooftop bar in the center of the city. Our three-hour, three rooftop guided bar tours combine Asheville's scenic beauty and highly acclaimed rooftop bars with historic city landmarks, sample cocktails or mocktails, and preferred seating at each stop on the tour. We even do the driving for you!

Tour FAQ

  • "Sip & See the City From a Bird's - Eye View" can mean a "mocktail" (0% alcohol) as well as alcohol based drinks.

    Drinking while riding in our company vans isn’t permitted as you are being transported from one rooftop location to the next.

    If you choose to indulge in one or more of the incredible handcrafted cocktails, delicious locally brewed beers, and extensive wine lists that the rooftop establishments offer, we kindly ask that you please drink responsibly.

    Uber, Lyft and AVL Taxi are great options if you need a ride or don’t want to drive to or from the tour.

    Full food menus are available at each rooftop bar.

  • Tours are for guests 21 years of age and older.

  • After reading the descriptions of the tours offered, simply click on the "BOOK NOW" button to securely book your tour. We also offer gift certificates. If you are having trouble, give us a call at 828.774.7785.

  • All tours will have a starting location in the heart of the city of Asheville, NC.

    After booking your tour, an email confirmation will be sent to you that will include the location and street address for the starting point of your tour. We’ll also provide parking suggestions!

    Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before scheduled start of tour to allow for check-in with our tour guide.

    At end of tour, guests will be transported by company van back to the original start location of your tour.

  • Each tour takes 3 hours and we provide all transportation.

  • Yes, each guest on an Asheville Rooftop Bar Tour must sign a waiver of liability. This can be done electronically during the secure online booking process.

  • There are currently no rooftop bars on our tour where you must climb stairs.

  • Tours will be held rain or shine.

    All of the rooftop establishments we visit have covered outdoor areas as well as spacious indoor areas great for viewing outside.

    We understand that some visitors may only be in town for a short period of time and still want to have this rooftop experience even if there happens to be some liquid sunshine that day!

    We have umbrellas available if needed.

  • We follow the winter weather forecast and road driving conditions closely.

    If the forecast is for snow or ice on the day you have booked a tour with us or even forecasted the day before, or it is snowing the day of your tour, you will hear from us by email and by text message about a possible cancelation of the tour.

    You will be notified by 12:00pm the day of your tour, if not before. When we cancel a tour due to unsafe driving conditions and weather-related issues or bar closures, we will issue a full refund to the credit card you booked with.

    We also reserve the right to shorten any tour if the road conditions are becoming unsafe during the tour or if the rooftop bars are closing early due to bad weather.

    Our first priority as a tour company is to keep our guests and employees safe in regards to our tours.

  • All service dogs are welcome, but unfortunately we are not set up to accommodate you bringing your pet.

  • For regular tours of groups of 5 or more, you must cancel 3 days in advance to receive a full refund.

    If your group is 4 or less or individually purchased, you must cancel at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour time to receive a full refund.

    If canceling your ticket within 48 hours of scheduled tour time, no refunds will be given.

    Private group tours must cancel 7 days before date of tour to receive a full refund.

  • Yes, we do! We thank you for your service.

    This discount may not be used for multiple tickets purchased together or for entire group tours unless all guests fit the military/veteran guidelines stated above.

  • Yes! Birthday parties, girls weekends, retirement celebrations, team building, bridal showers, family reunions, bachelorette parties, holiday parties, coming out party, professional retreats and more. We also offer private tours. We can be super creative with our tours. Contact us for more information.

  • A gratuity is not required, but if you love what we do, they are warmly welcomed.

    We work hard to let you experience Asheville in a unique and original way on our tours.

    Cash or Venmo are great options.

  • The key to enjoying year-round tours is to dress appropriately for the weather.

    We are in the mountains in NC, so expect cool weather in the early spring and fall. Layers of warm clothing and warm footwear are best.

    In the winter: warm hats, scarfs, and gloves are good options to also bring along.

    Warmer months, a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended.
